Following Daniel’s vision of Christ, an angel revealed a detailed history of kings and nations, ending with Christ’s second coming. Many verses mirror the previous visions seen by Daniel and King Nebuchadnezzar. Why do nations conspire?
Anger, greed, pride and flattery drive rulers to battle. Flattery deceives even the wise in end times. Those who flatter cause division; create obstacles to God’s work—but they also spread nets for their own feet.
War has existed since sin. Peace builds God’s kingdom. The inspired writers of Scripture wrote and acted to please God—not man. We can count on Christ and His Word. Staying wise about what is good, and innocent about evil, we can stand firm. Peace results.
