June’s uncle owned the town’s laundry where Susanna found work. Her tears often mixed with the sweat and steam of the laundry. Wasn’t Orchard Valley where God wanted her to be? Had He ever tried to move a mountain of wet sheets and shirts?
“Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
