Soldier’s honor.

“I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.”
Psalm 32:5-7 KJV

Creation sings.

“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.”
2 Chronicles 5:13, 14 KJV

The silky fluff inside the fireweed seed pod inspired June to make a soft pillow to send to her far-away friend.

Road Trip: Desert Desserts

Returning home through California, a cowboy from Yukon Territory told Montana they would experience baked alaska the next day. As they reached a sun-salted basin between mountain ranges, Montana focused on the delicate petals of the cactus flowers as his creamy confection dreams melted.

“Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?

Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.

I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.”
Psalm 77:8-12 KJV
