United Hearts

June placed her hope in God as she started an unknown future with Moose. Watching Zeke walk towards them, holding Susanna’s family Bible, remained a favorite memory.

“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.”
Psalm 5:11 KJV

Pattern of Hope

As Harriet led the songfest with Sam, she slowly recognized the specific colors and patterns of the quilt that wrapped Susanna and June in warmth.

“That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”
Psalm 78:7 KJV

Grave Memory

easier to forget?

Susanna kept busy; busy meant less time to think. The fog of Agate Beach rolled over her heart and hid hope. Susanna thought God’s way made no sense. She stumbled over wanting to remember, and wanting to forget.

“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”
Eccelesiastes 9:5 KJV
