Go, Tell It

sharing faith

The upset villagers could not stop the grateful pig farmer from talking about the power and love of his Savior.

“Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.”
Luke 8:38, 39 KJV

Coloring Fun: Counting Angels

Counting angels:revelation 14

Zeke knew he needed more rest when he started seeing angels everywhere while doing his barn chores.

“And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
Revelation 14:3, 12 KJV

Salt Water DNA

dna taffy pull

Among the many scientists and theories that Watson and Crick owed thanks to, they remembered the day they consumed an entire box of salt water taffy. After reading about planning a taffy pull party on the back of the box, their imaginations stretched into the third dimension.

“And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:

With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
Psalm 136:11, 12 KJV

Feed & Seed

potluck blessings

After feeding Mercy in the barn, Zeke fell asleep pondering the mathematical miracle of feeding 5,000 families with five loaves and two fishes.

“And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.”
Mark 6:41 KJV

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
Revelation 5:5 KJV

“I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.”

Forever Yours

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,”
1 Peter 1:3, 4 KJV

seal hunt

Despite her weariness, June scoured the large pots, thankfully blocking out the sight of the seal slaughter that the captain demanded in the Bering Sea.

“For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?”
Esther 8:6 KJV

Planting Mercy

“I received a surprise package from Sarah Winnemucca. She enclosed a signed watercolor of shell ginger and told of plans to travel north to teach Paiute children. She also enclosed several rhizomes for us to plant. I didn’t think they would survive the Pennsylvania winter, but Cream insisted, so we planted a few in the woods, and potted a few inside near a window.”

“And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.”
Zechariah 10:6, 12 KJV

Kindness Repaid

put that in writing

“Right after the war ended, Cream’s kindness to a wounded soldier—the one that gave Jeb his field glasses—saved Jeb’s land. Coming in from milking the cow, Cream found the soldier on the steps of the house. Jeb brought him inside to tend to his wounds. The soldier thought he was dying so he wrote a letter to his family. After his wounds healed, Jeb gave him some clean civilian clothes and allowed him to leave. Cream found the soldier’s old uniform when she was looking for an extra winter shirt for me. Folded in the pocket was his letter, where he told his Ma and Pa that he had helped his unit set fire to Jeb’s barn during the battle in their orchard.”

“And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.”
Nehemiah 6:16 KJV
