Third Angel: Restless

third angel:restless:revelation 14

Caleb’s ex-partner, consumed with gold fever, found no rest at Caleb’s ranch and soon embarked on another search for treasure in the mountains.

“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”
Hebrews 4:2 KJV

I Will Come Again

treasured letter

Searching for gold in the mountains with his partner and friend, Caleb soon discovered what he treasured most.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
John 14:1-3 KJV

Bought with a Price

purchase of faith

As she experienced a loving relationship with Montana, Susanna began to discover ways to store up heavenly treasure.

“Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.”
1 Corinthians 10:24 KJV

Heart’s Treasure

catching the bridal bouquet

As Susanna began to uncover the blessings in her troubles, she joyfully embraced the new start God provided.

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”
Luke 12:34-37 KJV

Trail Tried

stolen memory

Racoon? Cougar? That scoundrel F.B.? Susanna could think of far worse things than losing a hat on the trail, but she begged Sam to help her find Sheriff Howie’s hat. Sam suggested prayer first; Susanna agreed.

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:32 KJV

Finding Treasure

orphan filly

One day, Susanna discovered an orphan filly nestled in the blueberry patch. She adopted “Blue Star,” named for the blueberry smear Susanna left on her forehead.

“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.”
Isaiah 45:3 KJV
